San Diego Forward: The Regional Plan will combine a big picture vision for how our region will grow over the next 35 years with an implementation program to help make that vision a reality. Working in close partnership with all of the region’s cities and the county government, SANDAG will seek to create an innovative plan for our growing community that fuels our economy, protects our environment, and maintains our quality of life.

A simple vision lies at the heart of San Diego Forward: The Regional Plan. It was developed using input from you, and adopted by our region’s leaders to guide our plan development. Through a comprehensive survey and public outreach efforts, we asked the community to identify the keys to the region’s future. You told us your priorities are a strong economy, a healthy environment, and a good quality of life for all.

To achieve that vision, the Plan sets clear goals and measurable objectives.
